Magan Kidwell was in my Outdoor Photography class at the beginning of the pandemic, and I hadn't seen her again until she worked on her Capstone Certificate several years later. I was hosting a Capstone recognition for the Samford Academy of the Arts, and Magan's photo popped up on my screen as one of 20 images in her portfolio. Notice the position of the birds body within the frame. How the bird and it's feathers fill the frame, and how each tail feather creates a leading line inward toward the head and body. All are major principals of composition.
